Arranging the perfect boom lift hire

Blog

Boom lifts are designed to allow you to easily reach locations that would otherwise be inaccessible. They are fitted with an articulated or telescopic boom that permits sideways outreach and let's you get over or around obstacles. There are lots of good reasons to arrange a boom lift hire. Boom lifts come in many different shapes and sizes, but to make sure you choose the right type of boom lift for your job, you need to think carefully about the situation where you will be using it and pick the model that is most appropriate.

Are you operating indoors or outdoors?

You could be considering a boom lift for either indoor or outdoor use. Boom lifts are frequently used for working on air-conditioning or ventilation systems, adding cladding, painting and decorating, or simply managing general facilities. Boom lifts that are intended for indoor use will come equipped with non-marking tyres perfect for driving on finished flooring. If space is an issue, then you should be able to arrange the hire of a narrow boom lift to help you work in confined spaces.

Where do you want to reach?

Boom lifts let you access heights and locations that would otherwise be impossible to reach. If you hire a stick boom lift, or as they are sometimes called a "straight-boom telescopic lift", you will benefit from both height and sideways outreach. There are a range of models available which will allow you to reach heights of between 15 and 47 metres, which should be more than enough for most situations you will encounter. If you do need a little extra height, then see if you can find a model with an extendable platform to give you a little extra reach.

What's the road like?

One of the problems with working outside is that not everywhere you want to go is on the road. Sometimes you have to get to places without good vehicle access. For those situations you will want to hire a boom lift which can get you where you need to go, whether you will be working on the road, on the pavement, or even in the middle of a construction site. It is possible to hire 2x4 or 4x4 models or even models with a rough terrain option to enable you to get where you need to be to get the job done. With all these options available, it is possible to arrange exactly the boom lift hire that is right for your situation.

Investing in New Diesel Pumps

Hello, my name is Gary. I recently needed to invest in new diesel pumps for the industrial complex I work in. I don't have any experience of purchasing new industrial equipment or supplies, so I was really worried about getting ripped off or of buying the wrong type of pump. Thankfully, my good friend Billy offered to help me out. We contacted a few different suppliers and requested quotes and then Billy came with me to inspect the pumps. He taught me exactly what to look for when buying new equipment. I have learnt so much, I decided to start this blog. I hope you enjoy it.
